Walt Disney is reportedly "trying to cut a deal" with a MLB team to conduct spring training in Orlando. Disney officials have been talking "recently" with the Braves about "luring" them to Tinker Field for Spring '96, and later to a facility at Disney. If talks with the Braves "fall through," Disney will approach the Devil Rays. The Braves are in the last year of their spring lease at West Palm Beach and are in "ongoing" talks concerning where they will play next season (Larry Guest, ORLANDO SENTINEL, 3/22).
