Dolphin QB DAN MARINO will kick off his third venture into
the restaurant business with the opening of Dan Marino's Town
Tavern in Coral Springs, FL. Nine investors joined Marino in
pooling about $750,000. Marino is already a partner in Dan
Marino's American Sports Bar & Grill in Coconut Grove (MIAMI
HERALD, 3/1)....U.S. figure skating champion NICOLE BOBEK is
profiled as she departs today for the World Figure Skating
Championships in England. Bobek, charged with "home invasion"
last fall, is being painted "as a small-potatoes version of Tonya
Harding" in the London tabs (USA TODAY, 3/1)....ESPN's Linda Cohn
reported on RAY KNIGHT's statements that former MLB Commissioner
PETER UEBEROTH spoke to him about drug problems on the Mets in
the mid-80's. Knight claims that Ueberoth "chose to keep the
situation quiet." Ueberoth's office was contacted, with no
response....ESPN profiled former 49ers Coach BILL WALSH, who is
