  • OLYMPIC SPONSORSHIP MOMENTS: A LOOK AT THE DOCUMENT COMPANY

         Olympic sponsorship profiles will appear regularly in THE
    SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY between now and the Games.  Our first
    profile is Xerox, which has been involved with the Olympics since
    the '64 Winter Games.  Xerox Manager of P.R. Carl Langsenkamp, on
    their '96 plan:  "It will help show the world how Xerox,
    technology-wise, can run the Games."

    EXCLUSIVITY:  This category includes copiers, color copiers,
    laser printers, document scanners, engineering reprographic
    systems, facsimile and multifunctional devices.
         IN-KIND Over 200 different machines help ACOG through
         SERVICES: their day-to-day operations; Xerox provides
    special machines not as familiar with the public, like the
    Plotter (a machine that will print out computer designs of
    Olympic venues).  Xerox also provides Docutech, a machine that
    allows ACOG to publish newsletters in-house in three languages.
         ON SITE Xerox will provide more equipment when the
         PRESENCE: games start, including their "technology trailer,"
    which will travel to venues outside Atlanta and work with AT&T to
    send results immediately.  Xerox will produce the Result Books.
    Each book will contain up to 300 pages of scanned images,
    original text and  profiles. Xerox will publish the books within
    a three to 24 hour period of the event.
    USE OF RINGS: Rings will appear on various products.
    NEW PROGRAMS: The Team Xerox Olympian program will underwrite the
    expenses of 11 former Olympians, including Bonnie Blair, Bart
    Conner, Nancy Kerrigan, Bill Toomey and Mike Eruzione.  The
    Olympians will help raise money that Xerox will in turn donate to
    the USOC.  Also, each of Xerox's eight company divisions are
    empowered to develop their own programs either with employees,
    suppliers or customers that could send them to the Games.
