VINCE NAIMOLI -- A FUTURE BASEBALL OWNER IN TAMPA?
Vince Naimoli, who heads the Tampa Bay group that is seeking an MLB expansion franchise, is profiled by Rex Henderson of the TAMPA TRIBUNE. Naimoli, who owns Anchor Glass Container Corp in Tampa, has been very "public about his interest in sports." He helped launch the Tampa Bay Lightning, was mentioned as a possible investor in the Buccaneers "as well as in Tampa Bay baseball." In the piece, Naimoli is described as a man who loved "baseball as a boy, has relentless ambition, hardheaded negotiating skills and prodigious work habits" (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 2/4).
