     Liberty Sports has named DAN CASEY Dir of Research.  He
joins Liberty from KCAL-TV (Liberty)....The Raptors have
reportedly interviewed former Blazers Public Relations Dir JOHN
LASHWAY for the same position (TORONTO STAR, 2/23). ....Suns
owner JERRY COLANGELO reportedly has DANNY AINGE in mind for a
front office position with the MLB expansion team the city hopes
to get (Toronto GLOBE AND MAIL, 2/23).... Blackhawks owner BILL
WIRTZ was released from the hospital after treatment for a blood
clot (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 2/23).
