After creating a "furor" last week by telling "Late Show" host DAVID LETTERMAN he would like to play for the Bullets if his father, ex-NFL star CALVIN HILL, bought the team, GRANT HILL says that he's "out of the talk show scene ... for a while." As for the Bullets, Grant says his father is not in the market (WASHINGTON TIMES, 2/21)....Former Piston and current Detroit entrepreneur DAVE BING is featured as "1994 Newsmaker of the Year," in the current issue of CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS. A new health club with an emphasis on basketball, owned by Piston JOE DUMARS, is also featured (CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS, 2/13-19).
