WHO ARE THE NFL'S MOST "AVID" FANS?
The ESPN Chilton Sports Poll surveyed 14,824 U.S. residents over a 13-month period (Jan. 4, 1994-Jan. 23, 1995) in an attempt to quantify the NFL's most avid fans. "Avid fans" were identified by asking respondents to place themselves on a scale of 0-10, where zero is "not a fan at all" and 10 is a "super sports fan." The following are demographic breakdowns of respondents who answered 8-10:
