COCA-COLA TO BE PRESENTER OF '96 OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY

Coca-Cola Co. announced yesterday that it will be the presenter of the '96 Olympic Torch relay in the United States. As part of the Relay, Coca-Cola will help fill at least 2,500 of the 10,000 torchbearer slots through local and national consumer and customer programs. Among the cities that should be included in the tour: St. Louis, Salt Lake City, St. Joseph, MO, and Washington, DC (ACOG/Coca-Cola). Coca-Cola Public Relations Manager Ben Deutch said the company will use promotions to fill many of the 2,500 torchbearer slots and that they are "in the process" of determining what those promotions will be (THE DAILY).
