MOTOROLA CLOSE TO DEAL WITH ACOG
Published February 13, 1995
ACOG and Motorola are reportedly "close to announcing" a deal worth more than $40M. The deal "uses state-of-the-art digital technology to provide a secured wireless communications system" -- to be used by law enforcement agencies and ACOG security. With the system, they would be able to "talk to one another from any venue without being intercepted by terrorists" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 2/10).
