         JOHN MOAG and JOHN BROWN were named to the Maryland Stadium
    Authority (Baltimore SUN, 2/10)....GARY SWAIN, Senior VP of North
    American Events for IMG, has been relocated to the Chicago office
    (IMG)....The Angels have named TA HONDA director of Int'l
    Relations (WASHINGTON TIMES, 2/10)....WAYNE HUIZENGA has assumed
    the title of Dolphins President (USA TODAY, 2/10)....All-Star
    guard JOE DUMARS was on "Today" this morning, flanked by students
    for the NBA's "Stay in School" program.  Dumars, on being a role
    model:  "I accept being one, and I enjoy it actually."  On the
    image of NBA players being spoiled: "I have seen the change, it
    is a little bit disturbing" (NBC, 2/10)....STEVE YOUNG was on
    "Letterman" last night (CBS, 2/9).

  • WARRIORS GM DON NELSON: A TOUGH SEASON GETS EVEN TOUGHER

         GM & Coach DON NELSON left the Warriors to be with his ill
    mother, and a Warriors source said that Nelson's exit as Coach/GM
    of the team, which could come this weekend, "is a done deal" (Ric
    Bucher, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 2/10).
