ACOG DELAYS RELEASE OF FINANCIAL REPORT

ACOG has decided to wait until the fall before they make a public report of their "financial condition," according to today's ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Hugh Chapman, Chair of the ACOG Board's Finance Committee: "We felt it would be more meaningful if we issued a final forecast in the third quarter because we would have a better grasp on revenues." In previous years, ACOG issued an update each January. But recent indications show "rising expenses, falling revenues and an increasingly narrow margin between the two" (Melissa Turner, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 2/1).
