MAURICE SAATCHI, "ousted" last month as Chair of Saatchi &
Saatchi Inc., will leave the company.  The company is currently
the fifth largest advertising firm in the world (AP/SAN JOSE

his time off during this locked-out season working on a business
venture called Three Blind Mice.  Formed by Stewart, MIT grad
Gary Splettor and former Lange marketing exec John Molitor, the
company is seeking to patent and market in-line skates that brake
as if the skater is on ice (Tony Gallagher, Vancouver PROVINCE,
1/4)....JOHN DALY's "voluntary suspension" ends this week when he
returns to the PGA Tour for this week's Mercedes Championships at

NICK PRICE has been named GOLF DIGEST magazine's World Player of
the Year (USA TODAY, 1/4)....PELE, was sworn in yesterday as
Brazil's new sports minister.  His primary goal will be to
promote sports opportunities among young people (WASHINGTON POST,
1/4).....Brigham Young QB JOHN WALSH has announced that he will
forego his senior year and turn pro (Nanosec Services).....The
fate of Jets GM DICK STEINBERG has been delayed so that team
owner LEON HESS can finish with board meetings for the Amerada
Hess Corp.  A decision is expected this week (N.Y. NEWSDAY, 1/4).

     The 17th Annual International Sports Summit announced today
that Fox TV, Madison Square Garden, Nationsbank, and the Miami
Sports & Exhibition Authority have all been named 1995 award
recipients.  Fox received the "Turn Around Award," Madison Square
Garden the "Foremost Sports Facility of the Year" award, and
Nationsbank was chosen as this year's "Foremost Sports Sponsor of
the Year."  The Miami Sports & Exhibition Authority became the
second recipient of the "Foremost Sports Commission of the Year"
(International Sports Summit).  The Sport Summit will be held
January 17-18 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.
