Published January 31, 1995
The Atlanta-based Crystal Springs Water Co. has signed on as an Olympic Sponsor, according to today's ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. The company beat out competitors such as Evian and will be "the only bottled water provided to athletes and sold at venues." Crystal President & CEO James Stevens: "To us, it's our future." Stevens "estimates" the company will sell 15M 16-ounce containers of bottled water during the Games. ACOP Dir of Communications Darby Coker said the fact Crystal is based in Atlanta "played a big part" (Chris Roush, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 1/31).
