STRAW THAT STIRS THE DRINK MAY NOW SERVE TIME

     Darryl Strawberry and his agent Eric Goldschmidt were
indicted for tax evasion yesterday for failing to report $500,000
in income from autograph signing and other promotions between
'86-'90.  The N.Y. DAILY NEWS is reporting today that federal
investigators are looking at other players, agents and promoters
involved in the multi-million dollar sports-memorabilia business.
Strawberry and Goldschmidt are scheduled to be arraigned on
Wednesday (Kleinknecht/Madden/Smith, N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 12/9).
