A member of the USOC is scheduled to tour Ft. Worth today for "preliminary evaluation" of the area's worthiness to play host to an Olympic Festival. The Dallas-Ft. Worth area is vying with Phoenix, Seattle and Richmond for one of the two Olympic Festivals held '97 and '99. The USOC is expected to announce its sites on April 9 (Simon Gonzalez, FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 12/9)....The new head of the Int'l Yacht Racing Union says he is "seriously worried" about a lack of progress with the marina for Olympic Yachting and plans to decide by the end of next week if the '96 event should be moved. But Savannah officials and ACOG officials said they were not worried (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 12/9).
