"Wimbledon television rights may actually be awarded late this week," according to Richard Sandomir. Time Warner Sports Chair Seth Abraham, whose HBO division is seeking to renew along with partner NBC: "My daughter has reduced it to one word now: 'Well?'" (N.Y. TIMES, 12/6). The delay in the decision from the All-England Tennis Club reportedly involves Fox's "complicated bid combining international with U.S. rights. ... It is expected that Fox and its fX cable partner eventually will be asked to bid separately on U.S. rights" (USA TODAY, 12/6).
