SPORTS ILLUSTRATED TO PUBLISH OLYMPIC DAILY
Published November 9, 1994
Sports Illustrated intends to publish a daily magazine during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the first such venture for the magazine. ACOG spokesperson Laurie Olsen said that the prospect of SI's daily publication has helped convince ACOG to scrap tentative plans for their own daily Olympic newspaper. Instead, organizers will publish a daily news sheet, with distribution limited to the Olympic village and Olympic hotels (Melissa Turner, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/9).
