         The Buccaneers have named RICH MCKAY as the team's new
    General Manager.  McKay had been VP of Football Administration.
    McKay's role as GM will be somewhat limited as he will be unable
    to hire or fire coaches.  McKay said that Coach SAM WYCHE will
    remain the team's Director of Football Operations: "Those
    decisions that affect football operations on a day-to-day basis
    remain Sam's.  The big change is on the scouting side."  McKay
    added: "The real change would be as far as the supervision of the
    draft and the free agency; that will fall a little more to me and
    try to take a little off of Sam's shoulders" (Pat Yasinskas,
    TAMPA TRIBUNE, 11/9)....Current Raycom Executive VP of Sales and
    Marketing RAY WARREN has been promoted to COO. RON INMAN, VP of
    Marketing for Ellis Communications, will join Raycom as acting VP
    Marketing (Raycom)....The U.S. Olympic Committee has announced
    that DOUG WALKER will replace PETE CAVA as track and field
    specialist for the Pan American Games next March (USA Track &
    Field)....Former Young & Rubicam Media Executive BETH ROCKWOOD
    has been named VP of New Business Development and Media Planning
    Relations at CBS, replacing JANE DAVEY who is leaving the network
    (Cowles Business Media).

  • NAMES IN THE NEWS

         The trial of the State of FL vs. DAVE STEWART and TODD
    STOTTLEMYRE began yesterday with several witnesses accusing
    Stewart of taunting them with his million dollar salary.  The two
    Blue Jays pitchers are accused of shoving and hitting two police
    officers (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 11/9).
