Published November 4, 1994
Hyde Athletic Industries Inc. reports a 46% drop in third quarter earnings, attributed to increased costs and "unusually strong" earnings for '93. Last year's third quarter ratings were boosted by Consumer Reports magazine top rating for a Hyde athletic shoe. Hyde Chair and CEO John Fisher did say that Hyde's Saucony brand has been gaining market share (BOSTON HERALD, 11/2).
