EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     USA Track & Field's board of directors voted Tuesday to
accept a recommendation that will extend the contract of their
Exec Dir, OLLAN CASSELL (USATF).... Prime Ticket has named TIM
KRASS to oversee all regional affiliate relations for the
company's multiple networks.  Krass will head up a team of
affiliate sales execs that includes RAY HOPKINS and consultant
STARRETT BERRY (PRIME)....The PGA Tour Tournament Policy Board
named JAMES NORDSTROM to be an Independent Dir on the Policy
Board.  The Tour also announced that EDWARD BROWN III has been
named to the PGA Tour Golf Course Properties Advisory Board (PGA
Tour)....TIM HELLMUTH resigned as Astros Dir of Player Admin; TIM
PURPURA has been named Dir of Major- and Minor-league Player
Relations (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 11/29)....ROGER PENSKE, founder and
president of Penske Corp., has been named to the board of General
Electric Company (NASCAR NEWS, 12/6 issue)....The Panthers will
have a follow-up meeting with former Redskins coach JOE GIBBS to
become head coach. However, Gibbs is expected to turn down the
offer (KNIGHT-RIDDER, 11/30). ....GEORGE FOREMAN will film a new
spot for Choice Hotel's famous "celebrity-in-a-suitcase" ad
campaign for Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and Friendship Inn (Choice
Hotels).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The second-ever MWC commissioner chats with SBJ’s Ross Nethery about her climb through the collegiate ranks. Nevarez is a member of SBJ’s Game Changers Class of 2019. Nevarez has had stints at the conference level in the Pac-12, West Coast Conference, and Mountain West Conference as well as at the college level at Oklahoma, Cal, and San Jose State. She shares stories of that journey as well as how being a former student-athlete guides her decision-making today.
