COCA-COLA PULLS OUT OF BID TO BUILD OLYMPIC COMPLEX

Coca-Cola has rejected a proposal to build an entertainment
complex next to the proposed Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta
because of reservations about the $50M price tag. The company
has begun drafting a proposal for a "scaled back" complex. Coca-
Cola spokesperson Randy Donaldson said that the company still
intends to "do something" with the more than 12 Atlanta acres it
is acquiring: "We have every expectation of utilizing that
property as part of our Olympic promotional and celebration
activities" (Melissa Turner, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 11/2).
