HUDSON DENIES RUMORS THAT HEAT SALE IS IN TROUBLE
Published November 1, 1994
Whit Hudson yesterday denied reports that his planned purchase of 40% of the Heat was off. Hudson did say he was having difficulty procuring the approval of the team's limited partners -- Robert Sturges, Julio Iglesias, Rasnan Katz and Amancio Suarez -- and he may have to submit his purchase plan without it. Hudson said the NBA requested the approval of the partners, but it was not mandatory. 21 of the NBA's 27 owners would need to approve the purchase (Alex Marvez, MIAMI HERALD, 11/1).
