KING IN THE RING WITH HUIZENGA?

Boxing promotor DON KING wants to "join forces" with So. FL sports mogul WAYNE HUIZENGA to hold pro boxing events at Miami Arena. King has proposed a bout between World Boxing Council super-lightweight champ Julio Cesar Chavez and Tony Lopez plus three other title fights in Dec. '94. Huizenga Holdings owns 50% of Leisure Management, which runs the 15,000 seat arena. The Chavez fight is "tentatively" scheduled for December 10 in Mexico City but King said he might change the arrangement if Huizenga agrees (Steve Wynche, MIAMI HERALD, 10/14).
