EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     ROBERT SUTTON, the Golf Channel's Exec VP and CEO, has
resigned and will serve as an advisor until a replacement is
named.....Turner Sports Producer HAMMOND REYNOLDS has moved to
Senior Coordinating Producer at Prime Network.... SportsChannel,
New England Group VP and GM MITCHELL FREUND has resigned to
pursue other interests (ELECTRONIC MEDIA, 10/10 issue).... TERRY
ST. MARIE was named Operations Manager for Bresnan
Communications.  He had been Senior VP of Washington Redskins/JKC
Stadium Inc. (MULTICHANNEL NEWS, 10/10 issue). ....Liberty Sports
announced that JOE KING has been promoted to COO.  King had been
GM of Home Sports Entertainment since '88.  JOHN HEIDTKE was then
named GM of HSE.  He had been Assistant GM since January '91 (THE
DAILY)....MSG's interim President Dave Checketts is the focus of
CRAIN'S NEW YORK BUSINESS New Executive Profile. "Checkett's
assigment: Take over the Madison Square Garden sports empire when
it's at the top -- and make it better" (CRAIN'S NEW YORK,
10/16).... Warner Brothers new WB Televison Network has hired JED
PETRICK as its first head of media sales.  Petrick was VP of
sales for The Baseball Network in New York for the last year (AD
AGE, 10/10 issue).
