1994-1995 MINOR LEAGUE AFFILIATIONS CHANGES

     The deadline for changes to minor league affiliations is
Sunday, September 25.  Next week, MLB release its list of
affiliation changes for '95.  The SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY has
compiled a list of moves as of yesterday.  Teams have until
midnight Sunday to strike a deal.  Unaffiliated minor league
teams will be examined by Jimmie Lee Solomon, MLB's Dir of Minor
Leagues, in an effort to match them up with teams in need of
player development contracts (PDC).
     KEY:  R = Rookie League.  SA = Single-A, short season.

     OPENINGS:  The Mariners and Red Sox are yet to sign a PDC
for a AA franchise, and the Orioles are still looking for an A
level team.
     MOVING:  The Rockies SA team in Bend, OR is moving to
Portland.  The Cardinals A team in Madison, WI is moving to
Battle Creek, MI.  The Phillies A team in Spartanburg, SC is
moving to Kannapolis, NC.  The Twins AA Nashville, TN franchise
is being moved to San Juan, but a contract is yet to be signed
with the P.R. franchise.  Negotiations to move Cleveland's AA
club from Canton to Akron, OH, are pending.
