STADIUM NOTES
A potential location for a new ballpark in Cincinnati is in jeopardy due to a tangled web of sewer lines that could "cost millions to relocate before construction could begin" (Richard Green, CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 9/23)....CT Gov. Lowell Weicker's administration is "considering whether a stadium in downtown Hartford could make economic sense." An aide to Weicker said they were exploring the idea should UConn decide to go Div. I-A, but added that everything was in the "very, very preliminary stages." CFL Commissioner Larry Smith said Hartford, with the right ingredients, would be "of interest" (Smith & Swift, HARTFORD COURANT, 9/23).
