NAMES IN THE NEWS: BARRY & JERRY & JIMMY

     Cowboys coach Barry Switzer, asked by ABC's Brent Musberger
on his relationship with owner Jerry Jones:  "I am sure we will
have our ups and downs.  I have no problem with Jerry in certain
areas.  If he wants to be involved with certain things in
football, that is fine. But everything that happens on the field,
between those two lines, that is me and the coaching staff and
the players" ("Monday Night Football," ABC, 9/12).  Meanwhile,
this morning's PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER reports that Eagles owner
Jeffrey Lurie and Jimmy Johnson dined together on Cape Cod last
weekend (S.A. Paolontonio, PHILA. INQUIRER, 9/13).
     ANDRE ON TOUR:  U.S. Open champ Andre Agassi today will
begin his "U.S. Tour" today in Albany.  The tour will stop in
four U.S. cities and features Agassi playing exhibitions against
John McEnroe, Michael Chang and Jim Courier.  The Atlanta stop
was canceled because of a dispute with a local promoter (ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 9/13).  Agassi appeared on "Late Show" with David
Letterman and was introduced as the  "hunkiest tennis player
ever."  Agassi ended the program hitting balls to Dave out on
Broadway (CBS, 9/13).
