EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     BOB IGER, President of ABC since 11/92, will be promoted to
President/COO of CapCities/ABC "probably at the company's next
board meeting later this month."  DAVID WESTIN, president of
production at ABC Television Network Group, will succeed Iger as
head of the network group (BROADCASTING & CABLE, 9/12
issue)....TIM MAYOTTE and VIJAY ARMITRAJ were elected as player
reps to the ATP Tour Board of Directors (DAILY sources, 9/13).
...SHARI LEVENTHAL was named director of Marketing and Creative
Services at ESPN.  She was formerly director of advertising.
Also at ESPN, TREZ BAYER, an independent director/producer,
joined as director of on-air promotions, and ALLAN BROCE, former
advertising manager at Pepsi-Cola, was named director of
advertising and consumer marketing (BROADCASTING & CABLE,
9/12)....Cubs CEO/president Andy MacPhail is said to be
considering four candidates for Cubs GM: assistant S.F. Giants GM
BRIAN SABEAN, Astros dir. of scouting DAN O'BRIEN, Braves
"standout farm system" head CHUCK LAMAR and Rangers asst. GM
WAYNE KRIVSKY (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 9/13).
