Jackson County Sports Complex Authority has agreed to pay Cleveland's S.W. Franks Construction Co. close to $2M to install natural grass, a new warning track, and fences in Royals' Kauffman Stadium (K.C. STAR, 9/9)....The San Francisco Recreation and Park Commission will decide on the new lease with the Giants at Candlestick Park. Giants VP Larry Baer said the pact would extend the lease by five years and eliminate a clause requiring the city to pay for the team's defense if sued for leaving Candlestick Park (S.F. CHRONICLE, 9/9). ....IHL Knights President and co-owner Richard Adler announced that funding is set for a new $120M, 22,000 seat arena and 20,000 seat amphitheater in Alpharetta outside Atlanta.
