Stewart-Haas Formally Unveils Smithfield Deal For Almirola's Ride

Stewart-Haas Racing today formally unveiled Smithfield Foods and Aric Almirola as sponsor and driver of its No. 10 Ford starting in '18. Smithfield will sponsor the car for the entire Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, a commitment that keeps the company as one of the handful of remaining brands in the sport to have a full-season sponsorship. The car will feature black and gold colors, which are Smithfield's corporate colors. It is a new look for Smithfield in NASCAR, as its old car at Richard Petty Motorsports was the light-hued "Petty blue." Smithfield works with Illinois-based Protential on its NASCAR marketing.

The Smithfield deal allows SHR to now re-focus on finding a major primary sponsor for its No. 14 car driven by Clint Bowyer. That is SHR’s main need right now, along with finalizing deals with Monster Energy and Kurt Busch to return as the tandem for its No. 41 car.
