UCF football will wear "space-themed uniforms" for Saturday night's home game against ECU. The uniform features a "mission patch on the left shoulder, a lunar landscape inside the UCF logo on the helmet and a photograph taken by the Hubble space telescope." NASA's Center for Lunar & Asteroid Science is on UCF's campus (CBSSPORTS.com, 10/10).

The Brewers will "extend protective netting" at Miller Park for the '18 season. The Brewers said they will "significantly" extend the netting to the outer edge of the dugouts on both sides (JSONLINE.com, 10/13).

A flight carrying the Cubs to L.A. was “diverted to New Mexico early Friday due to a medical issue on board.” Albuquerque Int’l Sunport spokesperson Daniel Jiron said that the person with the medical issue was “transported to a hospital, but he did not know if it was a player” (AP, 10/13).
