Alex Rodriguez To Conduct MLB All-Star Interviews On The Field

Fox’ Alex Rodriguez will be on the field – actually on the diamond – during tomorrow’s MLB All-Star Game to interview NL players. The stunt is part of a sponsored segment Fox Sports sold to Warner Bros. and is scheduled to occur at the end of the first inning. After the third out in the bottom of the first, Fox will cut to a 60-second spot promoting Warner Bros.’ movie “Dunkirk.” Immediately following the promo, Fox will come back to Marlins Park, where Rodriguez will be on the field interviewing players as they warm up for the top of the second inning.

Fox decided to move forward with the stunt this year since the game has become an exhibition again. MLB since '03 had awarded World Series home-field advantage to the winning side of the All-Star Game. The league did away with that rule this season.
