NFL Schedule Notes: Francesa Leaks Giants' Slate; Jets Open At Bills?

The NFL schedule for the '17 regular season is set to be formally announced tonight, but tidbits have already started to leak. WFAN's Mike Francesa this afternoon "leaked" the Giants' entire '17 schedule on his radio show. While news leaked this morning about the Giants playing the Redskins on Thanksgiving night, Francesa on his show noted the team will play the Cowboys on the "first Sunday night game of the season" (APP.com, 4/20). Meanwhile, sources said that the Super Bowl champion Patriots will open the season at home against the Chiefs during the NFL Kickoff (ESPN.com, 4/20).

The Dolphins, who play in London on Oct. 1, were "granted a request to forgo their bye following their nearly 10 hour, 4,500-mile flight home." The Dolphins, playing in London for the fourth time since '07, have "always had a bye week following the game in Britain," but this year "decided to play the very next week in order to save the bye for later in the year" (MIAMIHERALD.com, 4/20). Meanwhile, a source also said that the Jets will "open the season" at the Bills and also "only have one primetime game this year" (TWITTER.com, 4/20). Another source said that the Saints "open the season on the road against the Vikings" on ESPN's "MNF" (TWITTER.com, 4/20).
