Pimlico Report Calls For $300M Renovation To 147-Year-Old Venue

A study being released Friday on the future of Pimlico Race Course calls for a $300M renovation of the 147-year-old racetrack, "suggesting a public-private partnership may be needed for the overhaul." Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh said that she is "confident the Preakness Stakes will continue to be held in Baltimore for the long haul." Pugh added that the city "will aid in seeking public-private partnerships to pay for renovations to the facility, but she would not say how much the city is willing to give toward any rebuilding efforts" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/24).
