Group Seeking MLS Franchise In St. Louis Offers Stadium Renderings

An ownership group attempting to bring an MLS team to St. Louis has released images of a potential stadium. Foundry St. Louis, the name of the group, in conjunction with CannonDesign, released three renderings today. The group’s intent is to collect feedback from the community and local soccer fans after MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced the city as a leading candidate for the league’s next round of expansion.

The proposed site for the 22,000-seat facility is on property owned by St. Louis Univ. The school and Foundry St. Louis would co-own the stadium. Under the proposal, it would also be the home of SLU’s men’s and women’s soccer teams and an NWSL franchise.
