Sources: Disney Working With Adviser On Possible Bid For Twitter

Sources said that Disney is "working with a financial adviser to evaluate a possible bid" for Twitter as the social media company evaluates a potential sale. Other sources said that Salesforce.com is "also considering a bid, working with Bank of America on the process." Representatives for Twitter and Disney "didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment." Disney, "if it decides to make a bid, would be able to help the company further its video-streaming media strategy." Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is on the board of Disney (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 9/26).
