Bears Reorganize Business Staff Following Hibbs' Departure

The Bears plan to announce later today a reorganization of business staff to account for the February departure of VP/Sales & Marketing Chris Hibbs, who left to become CRO for the new Rams stadium. Bears VP/Communications Scott Hagel was promoted to Senior VP/Marketing & Communications after 20 years with the club. He will oversee Fan Marketing and Research in addition to his existing departments. The team also promoted CFO & Treasurer Karen Murphy to Senior VP/Business Strategy & CFO. She has been with the Bears for 17 years and will now be responsible for overseeing all of Operations (Soldier Field & Halas Hall) in addition to her existing departments. She is tasked with overseeing the club’s strategic business plan and creating a Business Analytics Department.

General Counsel Cliff Stein was promoted to Senior VP & General Counsel, while Senior Dir of Ticket Sales & Service Lee Twarling has been promoted to Senior VP/Sales & Customer Relations. He will now oversee not only ticket sales but all of the club’s partnership/sponsorship sales, merchandise and all fan facing customer relations.
