Court Dismisses All Of Fantasy Convention's Charges Against NFL

A Dallas court threw out all remaining charges brought against the NFL by organizers of a fantasy football convention backed by Cowboys QB Tony Romo. The National Fantasy Football Convention contended the NFL’s last-minute objections to players and NFL Network talent participating scuttled the '15 event. Dallas County District Court Judge Carl Ginsburg in an opinion filed with the court today and dated yesterday dismissed the 13 charges against the NFL, including for tortious interference and fraud.

The court had previously thrown out some of the charges, but did so again in its order. The judge gave no reason for the decision, just checking "granted" next to each of the charges that the NFL asked to be dismissed. “This is the end of it,” an NFL spokesperson wrote in an e-mail.
