MLBAM Releases Updates For Record-Setting MLB.com At Bat App

MLBAM on Friday released its initial '16 update of MLB.com At Bat, and this year’s changes include several redesigned navigation elements and user interfaces. New features for iPads including picture-in-picture live video streaming and multitasking views. As has been the case for the past four seasons, a purchase of the MLB.tv out-of-market streaming package will again come with a free copy of the app, which otherwise carries a $19.99 price.

MLB.com At Bat in '15 was the highest grossing app in the sports industry for the seventh straight year, and annually is one of the top grossing products in the iTunes App Store regardless of genre. MLB.com At Bat last year generated a record 13.1 million downloads, up 21% from the prior year, and 8.4 billion minutes in time spent on app. That latter figure according to comScore represents 53% of the total time spent on all official pro sports league mobile apps in '15.
