Lightning Raise Season-Ticket Prices, Unveil New Payment Plan

The Lightning today said that season-ticket prices will increase by an average of 7% for the '16-17 season, and "some tickets will increase by fewer" than 2%. With the exception of Chase Club members, "no season-ticket member will see an increase of more than $6 per game per seat" (TAMPABAY.com, 2/11).

Also today, the team unveiled the "Bolt for Life" payment program, which allows season-ticket holders to "spread the cost of tickets over 12 interest-free payments." Those who choose the program "will be given an annual window to opt out of renewals, but if they don't, their tickets will be automatically renewed" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/11).
