DirecTV Kicks Off Super Bowl Party With Dave Matthews Band Show

DirecTV tonight begins its Super Bowl party with extended entertainment options to include two ticketed events. Pepsi is serving as title sponsor. Dave Matthews Band will perform tonight at S.F.'s Pier 70, while Pharrell takes the stage tomorrow night. Showtime, Miller Lite and JetLux are DirecTV’s other sponsors this weekend.

The satellite TV provider has had a major presence at the Super Bowl since '07. From '07-14, the company hosted the Celebrity Beach Bowl flag football game. DirecTV even imported a beach for the game from '11-14. DirecTV also continues to have its Super Saturday Night, which began in '11. The event is co-hosted by Mark Cuban's AXS TV as an invite-only entertainment component.
