Demand For Cardinals-Panthers Tickets Dips After Initial Surge

The large initial demand for tickets to the Cardinals-Panthers NFC Championship Game has dropped, according to figures from secondary ticket aggregator SeatGeek. Prices have fallen for Charlotte's first conference title game from an average price paid of $583 on Sunday to $365 for resales since then. The average resale price is $457, down from $581 from last year's Packers-Seahawks matchup and the lowest since $316 for 49ers-Falcons in '13. The highest price in the last five years is $691 for Giants-49ers in '12. SeatGeek Content Analyst Chris Leyden said the "majority of demand has come from fans in North Carolina," with 55% of buyers in-state, but there has been interest "along the entire East Coast, as well as Arizona." Weather has had no visible effect on demand, according to Leyden.

As of presstime, the average resale price for the Broncos-Patriots AFC Championship Game on SeatGeek is $585. Denver-based KUSA-NBC's Mike Klis cites StubHub as saying AFC Championship Game tickets are outselling the NFC title game by 40% due to the "Brady/Manning effect."
