AS Roma, NBC Sports Regional Networks Extend Media Deal For '15-16

AS Roma and NBC Sports Regional Networks have signed an extension to their media partnership, bringing the Italian club’s original programming to the U.S. for the '15-16 Serie A season. Per the partnership, two-hour blocks of AS Roma programming will air each week in six Comcast SportsNet markets (California, Chicago, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Northwest and Philadelphia). That includes “Roma Now,” a 30-minute lifestyle show focused on the team, and “Roma Match of the Week,” a full-replay of the club’s most recent match. The team previously had a short-term partnership with the regional networks for the final weeks of last season. The club’s first match of the season is Saturday.

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
