MLB Rehires Chris Park As Senior VP In Ongoing Reorganization

MLB today continued its ongoing reorganization of the Commissioner's office staff, rehiring former VP/Labor Economics and Deputy General Counsel Chris Park as Senior VP/Growth & Strategy. Park, an SBJ/SBD “Forty Under 40” winner in '12, previously worked for the league from '08-12 before leaving for a role at Facebook. He also co-founded California-based mobile startup Concision Labs. Park will report to COO Tony Petitti.

MLB also promoted other execs, including several women and minorities, to roles at the Senior VP level or higher. Kathleen Torres has been elevated to Exec VP/Finance and will report to CFO Bob Starkey. Steven Gonzalez has been promoted to Senior VP and Deputy General Counsel/Labor & HR. He will continue to report to Chief Legal Officer Dan Halem. Bernadette McDonald, an MLB employee since '84 who has worked under six different commissioners, has been promoted to Senior VP/Broadcasting, reporting to Petitti.
