Kentucky Men's Hoops Home Finale Sees Ticket Prices Soaring

SeatGeek.com analyst Connor Gregoire said that the Univ. of Kentucky’s final home men’s hoops game on Saturday against Florida – as the team looks to remain undefeated – is the “hottest ticket for an SEC home game at Kentucky in the five seasons we’ve been monitoring.” The average sale price on SeatGeek “has steadily climbed over the last month,” reaching $306 as of Wednesday, up from $203 on Feb. 1. The “get-in price for the upper deck hovered around $220,” while lower level was $438 (COURIER-JOURNAL.com, 3/5).

StubHub data on Friday morning showed “sellers were asking for $184 to $3,300 for tickets” to UF-UK. Meanwhile, “asking prices for the national semifinals on StubHub already range from $336 to $16,800,” while prices for the national championship at Lucas Oil Stadium range from $276-$11,800 (INDYSTAR.com, 3/6).
