CBSSports.com has hired former ESPN VP/Video Strategy Anthony Mormile as VP/Programming. Mormile will lead content strategy for the site, report to Senior VP & GM Jeff Gerttula and work out of the site’s headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale. “We really needed somebody to head this up after I moved up to my current role (in '13), and Anthony brings a ton of experience and expertise, particularly in mobile and video programming,” Gerttula said.

ESPN Exec VP/Digital & Print Media John Kosner praised Mormile in a company memo announcing his departure. “Anthony understood earlier than most how mobile would change the type of sports content that would be most popular, how consumption of that content would change, and most important what ESPN could do about it,” Kosner said.
