Wisconsin Gov. Unveils Plan To Pay For New Bucks Arena Debt

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker today said that "new growth in income tax revenue" from Bucks players and visiting teams "will generate enough money to cover debt payment" on $220M in state-issued bonds for a new downtown Milwaukee arena. Walker added that he will put his "Pay Their Way" proposal in his state budget next week. Recent estimates indicate the income tax revenue from NBA players in '15 would total $15M. No "existing base revenues collected from the Bucks or visiting teams would be used" (JSONLINE.com, 1/27).
