Hornets Line Up Giveaways, Appearances For Regular-Season Opener

The Hornets tonight play their first post-rebranding regular-season game at home against the Bucks, and "20,000 black T-shirts with the image of a tuxedo top and a Hornets logo will be given to all fans attending the game." The shirts "pay homage to the sold-out 1988 debut, when fans and reporters wore black-tie for the NBA's arrival." Large commemorative tickets bearing "The Comeback" will be distributed. Former NBA Commissioner David Stern is scheduled to make an appearance, as are members of the '88-89 Hornets team, including Muggsy Bogues (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/24).

Meanwhile, Bucks TV analyst Jon McGlocklin "will participate in his 50th consecutive NBA opening night" when he calls tonight's game. He began calling Bucks games after an 11-year playing career, eight of them with the Bucks (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/29).
