Judge Set To Decide On New Jersey Sports Betting Injunction

U.S. District Court Judge Michael Shipp at 4:30pm ET Friday is scheduled to announce his decision on "whether to grant a request from the four major U.S. professional sports leagues and the NCAA to stop New Jersey from allowing legalized sports betting." The leagues "had asked for a temporary injunction to stop betting from being allowed this weekend." Monmouth Park has said that it "planned to accept bets starting Sunday" (AP, 10/24).
