Jerry Jones: New Rule Could Make Super Bowl Bid Problematic

Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones on Friday said that it "will be difficult for the franchise to bid on a Super Bowl because of a new rule that states NFL teams that are awarded the championship game will lose a regular-season home game." Jones on Dallas' KRLD-FM said, "That will put a difficult caveat to our bid. ... Home games are so important to us. At this time, I'm not for sure how we'll handle a bid; we'll make a bid for a Super Bowl in the future. But that's a head-scratcher if I would do it at a cost of a home game" (ESPN.com, 10/24).
